To Ramble
Oxford Languages defines "ramble" in the following ways:
1. walk for pleasure, typically without a definite route.
2. talk or write at length in a confused or inconsequential way.
When it comes to words, rambling is rarely seen as a positive. Whether a term applied self-deprecatingly towards ourselves or one thrust on us by others, inconsequential is the key meaning.
But what about walks? To ramble on a walk is to get lost in the beauty around us, to explore with no real destination, to see the world, and--at its core--to enjoy.
So I invite you to ramble with me. To slow down and enjoy. To leave behind the to-do lists and pressure of productivity. To walk through words and ideas and see where we end up because it's not really about the destination.
